Vocalist Nicolas Bearde has been a notable presence in the Bay Area vocal scene since his launch into jazz in the 1980’s.” …his sophisticated, revelatory vocals are simply stunning in their bare essence” say Jazz Examiner, and “A richly impressive amalgam of Bill Withers and Billy Eckstine“, says the Jazz Times.
He has performed.and/or recorded with jazz legends such as Nat Adderley, Jr, Vincent Herring, James Carter, Steve Turre, Jon Faddis, Eric Alexander, Bobby McFerrin, and Bernard Purdie, and has captivated audiences around the globe from London, Paris, and North Sea to Blue Note, Birdland, Smoke and SFJazz Center.
For this run Nicolas will be joined by Count Basie band pianist Glen Pearson, renowned drummer Sylvia Cuenca, and Dan Feiszli on Bass.
Happy Hour 5pm – 6pm. Doors open at 6pm for Dinner Guests, shows begin at 7pm and 9pm.
Students and IMA Members can purchase tickets for $15 in person for the 7pm and 9pm shows and may attend 11pm shows free of charge (with proof of valid ID).
