Vocalist, songwriter and recording artist, Nicolas Bearde, along with some of the SF bay area’s finest will grace the Keys Jazz Bistro stage once again. Bearde, who has been a bay area treasure since he moved here from Nashville, TN in the 1980’s, is known for his velvet voice, wit and engaging rapport and has a style likened to Lou Rawls, Nat King Cole and Bill Withers. He originally made his mark as an original member of Bobby McFerrin’s innovative a cappella ensemble, Voicestra and later its off-shoot, SoVoSó. He has released 6 albums as a leader and is also the vocalist and narrator for saxophone great Vincent Herring’s “Story of Jazz Orchestra”  out of New York, that  travels and chronicles 100 years of recorded jazz. He has performed and/or recorded with jazz legends such as Nat Adderley, Jr, Vincent Herring, James Carter, Steve Turre, Eric Alexander, Jon Faddis, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, and the Savannah Jazz Orchestra,  and.. has headlined prestigious festivals and venues around the globe. With his supple phrasing and tender delivery, Bearde turns every song he sings into personal expressions of love, hope, and soul.
