Pianist/composer Michael Wolff and drummer/composer Mike Clark met in the 70’s in San Francisco when they were in their teens. They began playing together and immediately felt a musical and personal bond. They are still playing, recording and touring together in 2025. Their resumes are huge and each of them have played and recorded with the greats of jazz; Herbie Hancock, Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, and about 200 more.
Wolff & Clark play their own compositions as well as jazz standards and occasionally even a Prince or Beatles tune. Wolff & Clark present a combination of experience and freshness that is unique in music today. The music is exciting and soulful, and gorgeous. It takes you on a trip. Individually Michael and Mike have new albums out right now-Mike Clark’s is STANDARD DEVIATIONS & Michael Wolff’s is SUNNY DAY
Also, Michael Wolff has written a memoir, ON THAT NOTE.
Wolff & Clark have made two albums together which were each in the top 10 of jazz Radio: WOLFF & CLARK EXPEDITION 1 followed by WOLFF & CLARK EXPEDITION 2.
Together with Leon Dorsey they made an album dedicated to the great jazz pianist and composer Bill Evans called A LETTER TO BILL EVANS.
