Dani & Debora Gurgel Quarteto feat. Sandy Cressman & Jeff Cressman

A Brazilian dive into contemporary jazz. DANI & DEBORA GURGEL QUARTETO – or DDG4 – bring a mix of traditional and modern rhythms, elaborated harmonies and constant improvisation. An inseparable union between instrumental music and carefully written words, filled with the delight of their long-established musical intimacy and the serendipity of constant interaction amongst themselves and with the audience.

DDG4 has completed 10 years in 2023, and is commemorating with two releases: “DDG4+”, an album in which Dani Gurgel, Debora Gurgel, Thiago Big Rabello and Sidiel Vieira invite some of the most talented Brazilian instrumentalists to participate in some of DDG4’s most iconic songs picked from various of their 7 previous albums; and “DDG19 Big Band”, in which they are joined by 15 more woodwinds and horns.

For this concert, Sandy Cressman on vocals and Jeff Cressman on trombone are DDG4’s “plus two”, celebrating their decade-long musical friendship.
