Dillon Vado Trio featuring Ken Cook and Doug Miller

Dillon Vado returns to Keys as a drummer this time! Dillon is well known in the SF scene as a vibraphonist, but he got his start in music as a drummer, and holds a high regard for skillful and sensitive trio playing of all configurations. This group which features Ken Cook on piano, and his long time friend and collaborator Doug Miller on bass has refined a trio approach over many years that is refreshingly communicative and honest. With a balanced reverence for tradition as well as open minds, ears, and hearts, this trio sounds equally good swinging a blues as they do interpreting Pink Floyd or Milton Nascimento. Their approach is dynamic, spacious and decisively explosive when needed.
